Summary¶
There is a new approach position called "Southern Mil" that has been established, covering RAF Odiham (EGVO) and RAF Benson (EGUB).
New Position¶
Callsign: Southern Mil
Logon: STHRN_APP
Frequency: 134.035 MHz
Note
Southern Mil is a Military Approach position, and therefore requires a Military Approach or Area Radar endorsement to control.
Procedures¶
Southern Mil controls both RAF Odiham (EGVO) and RAF Benson (EGUB) top-down in the absence of any local approach unit, before Swanwick Mil.
Whilst Southern Mil may provide UK FIS, both EGVO and EGUB are not notified LARS providers.
Documentation Status¶
The Farnborough (EGLF) vMATS Part 2 has not been amended to reflect this change. The latest versions are always available at docs.vatsim.uk/EGLF.
